Is the load capacity per shelf or for the entire unit?

The capacity shown in the selected variant title is for each shelf, not for the entire shelving unit. Selected configurations are marked either 250 lb/shelf or 600 lb/shelf. Distribute weight evenly and do not calculate an overall unit capacity by multiplying the shelf rating. If a test-load figure is stated separately, it is not a substitute for the listed customer-use capacity.

Does the load capacity vary by size?

Yes. Capacity varies by configuration. Check the exact size and load notation in the selected variant before adding it to your cart. For example, the W78.74 × D23.62 × H78.74 in configuration is marked 600 lb/shelf, while many other configurations are marked 250 lb/shelf.
